onion, chopped


tomato, chopped


cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

coriander powder

1 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1/2 teaspoon

garam masala

1/2 teaspoon


1 tablespoon

Salt to taste



Step 1:

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Step 2:

Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.

Step 3:

Add chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.

Step 4:

Add chopped tomato and cook until it becomes soft.

Step 5:

Add all the spices - coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala.

Step 6:

Add green peas and mix everything together.

Step 7:

Add salt to taste and mix again.

Step 8:

Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes or until the peas are cooked.

Step 9:

Serve hot with chapati or rice.
