Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
Add chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.
Add chopped tomato and cook until it becomes soft.
Add all the dry spices and mix well.
Add chopped ghiya and mix well.
Cover the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the ghiya is cooked.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Serve hot with chapati or rice.
