Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds and fry for a few seconds.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala and fry for a few seconds.
Add the chopped green chillies, onion and tomatoes and fry for a few minutes.
Add the gatte and mix well.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes.
Add the chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve hot with chapatis or rice.
