French beans, chopped

onion, chopped


tomato, chopped


cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

mustard seeds

1 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1 teaspoon

coriander powder

1 teaspoon

garam masala

1 teaspoon


2 tablespoons

Salt to taste



Step 1:

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Step 2:

Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and let them splutter.

Step 3:

Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

Step 4:

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft.

Step 5:

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala and mix well.

Step 6:

Add chopped French beans and mix well.

Step 7:

Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes or until the beans are cooked.

Step 8:

Add salt to taste and mix well.

Step 9:

Serve hot with chapatis or rice.
