Clean and wash the fish fillets.
Heat oil in a pan, add onions, green chillies and ginger-garlic paste. Saute until onions turn translucent.
Add the tomatoes, turmeric, red chilli, and coriander powder. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
Soak the tamarind in warm water for 10 minutes, extract the juice and add to the pan.
Add the fish pieces to the pan, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
Sprinkle garam masala and salt. Cook for another few minutes.
Garnish with cilantro before serving. Serve the Fish Curry hot with rice or naan.
