Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat.
Add the finely chopped onions and saute until they turn translucent.
Add the minced garlic and green chillies, saute for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears.
Add the finely chopped tomatoes, cook until they turn soft.
Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
Break the eggs directly into the pan and scramble them.
Cook till the eggs are fully cooked and well scrambled.
Serve hot with bread or rotis.
