Mix besan, maida, semolina and salt in a large bowl.
Heated the ghee and pour it into the dry ingredients. Mix well.
Add water as needed and knead into firm dough.
Make small balls from the dough and flatten them into discs.
Deep-fry these discs on medium heat until golden brown.
For sweet item, dissolve sugar in water and add cardamom powder to make syrup. Dip the fried discs in this syrup and garnish with dry fruits.
Allow them to cool and serve in a platter for Diwali Nasta.
