whole wheat flour

2 cups

salt

1/2 teaspoon

oil

2 tablespoons

water

1/2 cup

cooked dal

1/2 cup

cumin seeds

1/2 teaspoon

coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon

red chili powder

1/4 teaspoon

garam masala

1/4 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/4 teaspoon

amchur powder

1/4 teaspoon

chopped cilantro

2 tablespoons

chopped onion

2 tablespoons

chopped green chili

2 tablespoons

Directions

Step 1:

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and oil.

Step 2:

Slowly add the water and knead the dough until it is soft and pliable.

Step 3:

Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Step 4:

In a separate bowl, mix together the cooked dal, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, amchur powder, cilantro, onion, and green chili.

Step 5:

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.

Step 6:

Take one portion of the dough and roll it into a circle.

Step 7:

Place a spoonful of the dal mixture in the center of the circle.

Step 8:

Bring the edges of the circle together and pinch them to seal the dal inside.

Step 9:

Flatten the dough ball and roll it into a paratha.

Step 10:

Heat a griddle or tawa over medium heat.

Step 11:

Place the paratha on the griddle and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 12:

Flip the paratha and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Step 13:

Brush some oil on the paratha and cook for another minute.

Step 14:

Flip the paratha and brush some oil on the other side.

Step 15:

Cook for another minute or until the paratha is golden brown and crisp.

Step 16:

Serve hot with yogurt or pickle. Enjoy!
