Soak the chana dal in enough water for at least 2 hours.
Drain the water and grind the dal to a coarse paste.
In a bowl, mix the dal paste, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, amchur powder, baking soda, salt, oil, onions, coriander leaves and mint leaves.
Mix well and knead into a soft dough using enough water.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
Heat a tawa and grease it with ghee.
Take one ball of dough and roll it into a thin roti.
Place the roti on the tawa and cook on both sides until golden brown.
Serve hot with curd or pickle.
