Ingredients

yogurt

1 cup

besan (gram flour)

1/2 cup

red chilli powder

1/2 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon

cumin powder

1/2 teaspoon

coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon

garam masala

1/2 teaspoon

aamchur powder

1/2 teaspoon

sugar

1 teaspoon

ginger paste

1 teaspoon

garlic paste

1 teaspoon

oil

1 teaspoon

mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon

cumin seeds

1/2 teaspoon

asafoetida

1/4 teaspoon

chopped coriander leaves

1/4 cup

Salt to taste

Directions

Step 1:

In a bowl, mix together yogurt and besan until smooth.

Step 2:

Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, aamchur powder, sugar, ginger paste, garlic paste and salt to taste. Mix well.

Step 3:

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida.

Step 4:

When the seeds start to crackle, add the yogurt-besan mixture.

Step 5:

Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens.

Step 6:

Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 7:

Serve hot with steamed rice.
