2 cups

besan (gram flour)

1/2 cup


2 tablespoons

cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

mustard seeds

1 teaspoon

fenugreek seeds

1 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1 teaspoon

green chillies, chopped


chopped coriander leaves

2 tablespoons

Salt to taste



Step 1:

In a bowl, whisk together the yogurt and besan until smooth.

Step 2:

Heat the ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds and fry for a few seconds.

Step 3:

Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, green chillies and coriander leaves and fry for a few more seconds.

Step 4:

Pour the yogurt-besan mixture into the pan and stir to combine.

Step 5:

Add salt to taste and bring the mixture to a boil.

Step 6:

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 7:

Serve the dahi kadhi hot with steamed rice. Enjoy!
