Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
Add chopped onions and fry until they turn golden brown.
Add chopped tomatoes and fry until they become soft.
Add green chillies, coriander powder, red chilli powder and garam masala. Fry for a few minutes.
Add boiled chickpeas and mix well.
Add salt to taste and mix well.
Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve hot with chapatis or rice.
