Chiku, also known as sapota, chikoo or sapodilla, is a tropical fruit native to Mexico and Central America. It is a sweet, brown-skinned fruit with a soft, yellow-brown flesh. Sapota is high in dietary fiber, vitamins A and C, and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, and iron. It is also a good source of antioxidants. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.
Add the chopped almonds, cashews, raisins, and pistachios and fry until golden brown.
Add the chiku pulp and sugar and mix well.
Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring continuously, until the mixture thickens and the sugar is completely dissolved.
Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
Transfer the halwa to a greased plate and spread it evenly.
Garnish with the remaining nuts and let it cool.
Cut into desired shapes and serve.
