Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the cumin, coriander, garam masala, turmeric, chili powder, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add the tomato puree and coconut milk and bring to a simmer.
Add the cooked chickpeas and stir to combine.
Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add salt to taste.
