cloves garlic, minced


ground cumin

ground coriander

garam masala

(15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed


(14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes

chopped fresh cilantro

1/4 cup

Salt and pepper to taste



Step 1:

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Step 2:

Add cumin, coriander, garam masala, turmeric, and cayenne pepper and cook for 1 minute.

Step 3:

Add chickpeas, tomatoes, and water and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 4:

Stir in cilantro and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
