Chicken tikka is an immensely popular dish in India and across the world. It consists of small pieces of boneless chicken, marinated with yoghurt and spices and then grilled or baked to perfection. The dish is noted for its distinct flavour, which comes from the tandoori masala and other spices. It's often served with green chutney or a side salad. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
In a large bowl, mix together the yoghurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt.
Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix until they are well coated.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible.
Preheat the grill or oven to medium heat.
Thread the chicken onto skewers and brush with vegetable oil.
Grill or bake the chicken for 15-20 minutes, or until it is cooked through and lightly charred.
Serve the chicken tikka with green chutney or a side salad.
