In a bowl, mix together the besan, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, ajwain, baking soda and salt.
Add enough water to make a thick batter.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
Add the onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, green chillies and ginger and sauté for a few minutes.
Add the besan batter and spread it evenly in the pan.
Cook on low heat for about 5 minutes, flipping it over once.
Serve hot with chutney or pickle.
