salt

1 teaspoon

oil

2 tablespoons

warm water

Directions

Step 1:

In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt.

Step 2:

Add the oil and mix until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Step 3:

Gradually add the warm water and knead the dough until it is soft and pliable.

Step 4:

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Step 5:

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.

Step 6:

Roll each portion into a thin circle.

Step 7:

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Step 8:

Place the chapatti on the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 9:

Flip the chapatti and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Step 10:

Remove the chapatti from the pan and serve hot.
