1/2 teaspoon

(14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes

Step 1:

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Step 2:

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute.

Step 3:

Add the coriander, cumin, turmeric, garam masala, cayenne pepper, and salt and cook for 1 minute.

Step 4:

Add the tomatoes and cook until the mixture is thick and fragrant, about 5 minutes.

Step 5:

Add the cooked chickpeas and stir to combine. Cook for 5 minutes.

Step 6:

Stir in the cilantro and cook for 1 minute.

Step 7:

Serve hot with rice or naan. Enjoy!
