onion, chopped


cloves garlic, minced


ginger, minced

1 teaspoon

cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

coriander powder

1 teaspoon

garam masala

1 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon

red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon


1/4 teaspoon

vegetable oil

1/4 cup

Salt to taste

chopped cilantro

1/4 cup



Step 1:

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2:

Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

Step 3:

Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is softened and lightly browned.

Step 4:

Add the ginger, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and asafoetida. Stir to combine.

Step 5:

Add the cauliflower florets and stir to coat with the spices.

Step 6:

Cover the skillet and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cauliflower is tender.

Step 7:

Add salt to taste and stir in the chopped cilantro.

Step 8:

Serve hot with chapati or rice. Enjoy!
