cauliflower, cut into florets

large potatoes, peeled and diced

onion, diced

cloves garlic, minced

cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

coriander powder

1 teaspoon

garam masala

1 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon

red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon

asafoetida

1/4 teaspoon

vegetable oil

1/4 cup

Salt to taste

Directions

Step 1:

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2:

Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

Step 3:

Add the onions and garlic and sauté until the onions are soft and translucent.

Step 4:

Add the potatoes and cauliflower and stir to combine.

Step 5:

Add the coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and asafoetida. Stir to combine.

Step 6:

Cover the skillet and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 7:

Uncover the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 8:

Add salt to taste and stir to combine.

Step 9:

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve.
