cabbage, shredded

1/2 head

grated coconut

1/2 cup

mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon

cumin seeds

1/2 teaspoon

urad dal

1/2 teaspoon

chana dal

1/2 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1/2 teaspoon

coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon

garam masala

1/2 teaspoon

asafoetida

1/2 teaspoon

oil

2 tablespoons

Salt to taste

Directions

Step 1:

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Step 2:

Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal, and asafoetida. Fry until the dals turn golden brown.

Step 3:

Add the shredded cabbage and mix well.

Step 4:

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.

Step 5:

Cover and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 6:

Add the grated coconut and mix well.

Step 7:

Cover and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 8:

Serve hot with rice or chapati. Enjoy!
