frozen peas

1 cup

cumin seeds

1/2 teaspoon

mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon

red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon

garam masala

1/2 teaspoon


1/4 teaspoon


1 tablespoon

Salt to taste



Step 1:

Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Step 2:

Add the cumin and mustard seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

Step 3:

Add the chopped cabbage and stir-fry for a few minutes.

Step 4:

Add the frozen peas and stir-fry for a few more minutes.

Step 5:

Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and asafoetida. Stir to combine.

Step 6:

Add salt to taste and stir to combine.

Step 7:

Cover the pan and let the cabbage and peas cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 8:

Serve the cabbage peas sabji hot with chapatis or rice. Enjoy!
