Buttermilk is a fermented dairy product made from cow's milk. It is a slightly sour, thick liquid that is often used in baking and cooking. Buttermilk is high in calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin B12, and is a good source of probiotics. It can be used to make pancakes, waffles, biscuits, and other baked goods, marinades and dressings, or as a substitute for regular milk in recipes.
