Marinate the chicken with yogurt, garlic paste and ginger paste. Leave it overnight.
Heat butter in a pan, add the marinated chicken and cook until it is half cooked.
In a separate pan, heat butter, add onions and cook until golden brown.
Add the pureed tomatoes, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are well cooked.
Add the half cooked chicken to the tomato mixture. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked.
Add cream and kasuri methi and cook for another couple of minutes.
Serve the Butter Chicken hot with rice or naan.
