In a bowl, mix together the besan, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, ajwain, and salt.
Gradually add water and whisk it into a smooth batter of coating consistency.
Heat oil for deep frying in a pan.
Dip each bread slice into the batter, making sure it is evenly coated on all sides.
Slowly drop it into the hot oil and deep fry until golden and crispy.
Remove it with a slotted spoon and drain it on absorbent paper towels.
Serve the bread pakora hot with a side of chutney or ketchup.
