Trim the edges of the bread and crumble them into small pieces.
Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pan, add the bread pieces and roast until they turn golden brown.
In another pan, boil the milk and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Pour the milk mixture over the bread pieces and cook on a low flame till the bread soaks all the milk. Stir continuously to avoid sticking to the bottom.
Heat the remaining ghee in another pan and fry the cashews and almonds until they turn golden.
Add the fried cashews, almonds and cardamom powder to the bread mixture and mix well.
Serve hot or chilled as per preference.
