Soak the kale chana overnight in water.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
Once the cumin seeds start to crackle, add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few seconds.
Add the chopped tomato and green chilli and sauté for a few minutes.
Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt and mix well.
Add the soaked kale chana and mix well.
Add 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the kale chana is cooked.
Add the lemon juice and mix well.
Serve hot with chapati or rice.
