Soak the kala chana overnight in enough water.
Drain the water and pressure cook the kala chana with enough water and salt for 3-4 whistles.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
When the cumin seeds start to crackle, add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few seconds.
Add the chopped onion and sauté till it turns golden brown.
Add the chopped tomatoes, green chillies, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, amchur powder and salt.
Sauté for a few minutes till the tomatoes are cooked.
Add the cooked kala chana and mix well.
Add 1/2 cup of water and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Add cumin powder and coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve hot with chapatis or rice.
