Soak the chickpeas overnight in enough water.
Drain the water and pressure cook the chickpeas with enough water and a pinch of salt for 3-4 whistles.
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
Add the chopped onion, garlic, ginger and green chilli. Saute for a few minutes.
Add the tomato and saute until it turns soft and mushy.
Add the coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, amchur powder and salt. Saute for a few minutes.
Add the cooked chickpeas and mix well.
Add 1/2 cup of water and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Add the kasuri methi and mix well.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
