Dry roast all the ingredients except the garam masala, onion flakes, garlic powder and turmeric powder on low flame until the spices release their aroma.
Allow the spices to cool completely.
Now blend them in a grinder to a fine powder along with garam masala, onion flakes, garlic powder and turmeric powder.
Store the homemade biryani masala in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
