In a bowl, mix together besan, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin seeds, ajwain, baking soda, coriander leaves, onion, tomato, green chilli and salt.
Add enough water to make a thick batter.
Heat a non-stick pan and grease it with oil.
Pour a ladleful of the batter on the pan and spread it evenly.
Drizzle some oil around the edges and cook on medium heat until the bottom is golden brown.
Flip the cheela and cook the other side until golden brown.
Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
