Besan Cheela, also known as Besan Ka Crepe, is a light and tasty vegan breakfast dish from India. It is made from chickpea flour mixed with a variety of spices, herbs, and vegetables, which is then spread thinly on a pan and cooked as a pancake. In a bowl, mix together the besan, green chilli, onion, tomato, coriander leaves, turmeric, and salt.
Gradually add water to this mix, whisking it in until a smooth batter of pouring consistency is obtained.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, grease it lightly with oil.
Pour a ladle of the batter onto the pan, spreading it out in a circular motion to make a thin cheela.
Cook on one side until the cheela gets golden brown spots, then flip and repeat on the other side.
Serve the Besan Cheela hot with chutney or sauce.
