Ingredients

almonds (badam)

milk

4 cups

sugar

1/2 cup

cardamom powder

1/2 teaspoon

saffron

Directions

Step 1:

Soak the almonds in warm water for about an hour.

Step 2:

Peel the almonds and grind them into a fine paste.

Step 3:

Heat the milk in a pan and bring it to boil.

Step 4:

Add the almond paste and stir well to avoid any lumps.

Step 5:

Add sugar and cardamom and keep stirring until the sugar dissolves.

Step 6:

Simmer for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.

Step 7:

Soak saffron strands in a spoonful of warm milk and add it for the flavour and color.

Step 8:

The Badam Kheer is ready to serve, you can chill it if you prefer it cold.
