Step 1:

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and sugar.

Step 2:

Add the oil and mix until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Step 3:

Slowly add the warm water and knead the dough until it is soft and pliable.

Step 4:

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Step 5:

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.

Step 6:

Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it with your hands.

Step 7:

Dust the rolling surface with some flour and roll each ball into a thin circle.

Step 8:

Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat.

Step 9:

Place the rolled roti on the tawa and cook for a few seconds.

Step 10:

Flip the roti and cook the other side for a few seconds.

Step 11:

Brush some oil on the roti and cook until both sides are golden brown.

Step 12:

Serve hot with your favorite accompaniment.
