Ingredients

whole wheat flour

2 cups

sugar

1 teaspoon

salt

1 teaspoon

active dry yeast

1 teaspoon

olive oil

1 tablespoon

warm water

Directions

Step 1:

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.

Step 2:

Add the olive oil and warm water and mix until a dough forms.

Step 3:

Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

Step 4:

Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth.

Step 5:

Let the dough rise for 1-2 hours until it has doubled in size.

Step 6:

Punch down the dough and knead it for a few minutes.

Step 7:

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape into balls.

Step 8:

Place the balls on a greased baking sheet and flatten them slightly.

Step 9:

Cover the baking sheet with a damp cloth and let the dough rise for 30 minutes.

Step 10:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 11:

Bake the atta bread for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Step 12:

Let the bread cool before serving. Enjoy!
