cubed potatoes

2 cups

cubed alu (yam)

1 cup

cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

coriander powder

1 teaspoon

red chilli powder

1 teaspoon

turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon

garam masala

1/2 teaspoon

amchur powder

1/2 teaspoon

dry mango powder

1/2 teaspoon

oil

2 tablespoons

mustard seeds

1 teaspoon

cumin seeds

1 teaspoon

fenugreek seeds

1 teaspoon

green chillies, chopped

ginger-garlic paste

1 teaspoon

chopped onion

1/2 cup

chopped tomatoes

1/2 cup

Salt to taste

Directions

Step 1:

Heat oil in a pan.

Step 2:

Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and green chillies.

Step 3:

Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few seconds.

Step 4:

Add onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.

Step 5:

Add tomatoes and cook until they become soft.

Step 6:

Add potatoes and alu and mix well.

Step 7:

Add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, amchur powder and dry mango powder.

Step 8:

Add salt to taste and mix well.

Step 9:

Cover the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the potatoes and alu are cooked.

Step 10:

Serve hot with chapatis or rice.
