In a large mixing bowl, add the mashed potatoes, chopped onions, green chillies, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt.
Mix all the ingredients well until the spices are well incorporated.
Add the cornflour to the mixture and mix again. The cornflour helps in binding the mixture.
Divide the mixture equally and shape into round patties.
Heat oil in a pan and carefully slide the patties. Cook on medium flame until golden brown on both sides.
Drain on an absorbent paper towel.
Serve hot with chutneys and yogurt.
