Aloo Gobhi



Alu Gobhi is a popular Indian dish made with potatoes and cauliflower. It is usually cooked with spices such as cumin, coriander, turmeric, and garam masala. The potatoes and cauliflower are usually cut into small pieces and added to a tempering of oil, cumin and mustard seeds. The spices are added and the vegetable is cooked on a slow flame and then spiced. It is often served with roti or rice along with lentils and yogurt.

garlic paste

chopped onion


chopped tomato


chopped green chili


chopped cilantro

1 tablespoon



Step 1:

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Step 2:

Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.

Step 3:

Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.

Step 4:

Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few seconds.

Step 5:

Add the chopped tomato and green chili and sauté for a few minutes.

Step 6:

Add the potatoes and cauliflower and mix well.

Step 7:

Add the coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, amchur powder, and salt. Mix well.

Step 8:

Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 9:

Uncover the pan and cook for a few more minutes until the potatoes and cauliflower are cooked through.

Step 10:

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
