Rajma tikki

You must have been familiarized with Rajma, or the kidney beans. A highly nutritious protein that helps with digestion and reduce the risk of heart diseases. However, we have something interesting for you, so you may want to add this recipe to indulge, when you need something healthy, yet fun. Rajma Tikkis are best eaten with a spicy and tangy pudina chutney and some nice garam chai for this monsoon.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Sweet Potato, boiled
  • 1 cup Rajma, boiled
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Chilli Paste
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 2 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Semolina
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the boiled sweet potatoes and kidney beans.
  • Add in the finely chopped onions, minced ginger and garlic, chopped chilies, and coriander leaves.
  • Combine along with chilli powder, salt, and chaat masala in a mixing bowl and crush the entire mixture.
  • Once finished, shape this mixture into medium-sized patties. Set aside for 15 minutes after coating the patties evenly in semolina.
  • After an hour, heat the oil in a deep fry pan for frying the cutlets. Drop the cutlets into the pan and cook on both sides until golden brown.
  • Serve this healthy snack hot.
