The Sultan of Bollywood plans to reclaim his throne this Eid and his perfectly muscled body makes him a sure-shot winner. But Salman Khan wasn’t always the brawny beefy guy he is now. Remember his first appearance in the movies as Rekha’s lanky devar in 1988’s Biwi Ho To Aisi? He went on to capture hearts as the lovable Prem in Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) and never looked back.
Then came Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, a three-hour wedding video where he showed off the silliest of outfits and a still lanky frame.
He showcased his body while romancing Sushmita Sen in Biwi No. 1 and his talent while wooing Aishwarya in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
Stealing the thunder from Akshay Kumar isn’t easy but his buff body helped Salman do that in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Remember him carrying off a Hawaiian skirt with elan?
Most people believe he played his own self in No Entry. He was hot, charming and didn’t care two hoots for anyone else!
By now, the lanky Salman was a thing of the past. His tapori act in Wanted was the only good thing about the movie.
In Ek Tha Tiger, hunky Salman effortlessly romanced the pretty Katrina Kaif while playing a RAW agent.
His body had transformed completely by now but it was his heart that Bajrangi Bhai Jaan is remembered for!

Salman Khan’s diet
The actor is as disciplined with his diet as he is with his exercise. Breakfast comprises eggs, bread and butter and low-fat milk. For lunch, he usually has 5 chapatis, veggies and salad. Dinner is vegetable soup, fish/chicken, and 2 egg whites. For those in-between snacks, the star relies on nuts and protein bars.
Helping others lose weight
When it comes to fitness, Salman is just as passionate that others stay shipshape too. He famously helped Arjun Kapoor whittle down from 140 kg to 90 kg, and also helped Sonakshi Sinha, Katrina Kaif, Zarine Khan and Daisy Shah lose weight.
Sure you can walk out of the theatre drooling over Salman Khan’s perfectly chiselled body but remember that he works hard for it. You may have given up your New Year resolution to get in shape but it’s never too late to get started on your fitness journey.
