Ajwain seeds are incredible from a health-based standpoint, as it is rich in carbohydrates, fiber, protein, and fats. It also contains vitamins and minerals like niacin, thiamine, sodium, phosphorus, potassium, and calcium.

1. Anti-fungal and Antibacterial Properties

Ajwain seeds contain carvacrol and thymol, two active compounds in this spice.

These substances are known to prevent the growth of fungi and bacteria. They attack bacteria responsible for food poisoning, such as salmonella and Escherichia coli (E.coli). 

2. Brings Down Blood Pressures

To treat hypertension (high blood pressure), doctors use calcium-channel blockers as medications.

They prevent calcium from entering your heart and expand and relax the blood vessels.

As a result, it lowers your blood pressure, bringing down the chances of suffering from stroke and heart disease. Thymol, present in ajwain seeds, behaves in a similar manner to calcium-channel blockers.

3. Enhances Cholesterol Levels

When consuming ajwain for weight loss, it brings down triglyceride and cholesterol levels in your body.

Higher amounts of these compounds increase the chances of suffering from heart disease. At the same time, use of ajwain improves HDL levels (good cholesterol) in your body.

3. Makes it Easier to Deal with Arthritis

Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, it brings down the inflammation and soreness you experience due to arthritis.

The reason why people love drinking ajwain water for weight loss is due to the fact that it requires minimal preparation time. You can make it a part of your daily routine, without having to go out of your way to make this beverage.

Roast two teaspoons of ajwain seeds under a low flame, until it starts to produce a pungent aroma. Next, take 500 ml of water and boil it in a pan. Add ajwain seeds and stir the drink until it turns brown. Allow the beverage to cool and strain it before consuming ajwain water for weight loss.

You can improve the taste of this drink by adding honey. Mix a teaspoon of honey to this beverage and consume it on an empty stomach.

Another way you can reach your fitness goals is to consume methi, kali jeera, and ajwain for weight loss. Take a teaspoon of each of these ingredients and grind them until it becomes a fine powder. Every day, add half a teaspoon of this spice mix to a glass of water and drink it between your meals.
